WhatColour uses your mobile phone s camera to recognise and name colours.

Click Start on the main menu and you should see your camera view (you may need to open the camera protector if a slide phone). Then position the yellow viewing square over an object and press the fire/select/ok button (the button in the middle of your direction controls). You should now see an average of the colours and a closest match found in the database That's it! Try and position the viewing square over an object that's mostly one colour - this way you'll get better results.

Also make sure you take the photo in good light (preferably natural light) because this will give a better match.
